Step by step guide to complete impression

STEP 1:

Clean hands mean clean putty means clean moulds.

STEP 2:

Mix both putty’s together. (YOU HAVE UP TO 30 TO 40 SECONDS TO DO EVERYTHING BEFORE PLACING IN THE TRAY)
Base and Catalyst (it is important to mix both putty’s together until you see a single light a mixture of the two colours. This process must be done quick without any distractions as the putty will slowly start to harden if you wait to long before placing in tray and into mouth.  If any of the two colours are still showing this will not allow the impression to harden correctly. So pay close attention

STEP 3:

Place mixed putty into the tray. You will want to make sure the putty is evenly spread into the tray so there is a proper impression of your teeth.

STEP 4:

Place tray into mouth for either upper or lower mould.Make sure the tray stem is aligned centre to your mouth before you bite down on putty.  Once aligned bite down firmly until you feel you cannot bite down further. You do not want your teeth to break through the putty at the bottom as this will ruin the mould.  Once you have bit down on it do not move the tray. You will want to push the top of the putty back up against your gums as your gums impression is very important in making your mould.

Wait 3-4mins before removing your tray from your mouth.
Make sure you allow tray enough time to take a good mould.  If you remove it to soon it will damage the mould. Please do not leave the tray in your mouth any longer then 4 mins.

STEP 5:

Remove tray from your mouth and pack in bag. Wiggle the tray out DO NOT PULL IT STRAIGHT OUT. Once you have completed your mould, rinse with water, place it in the plastic bag and you’re done.  Repeat process with second tray impression. You do NOT need to remove the mould from the tray.
